STL
Stereolithography mesh — the standard format for 3D printing.
Convert an STL mesh into a Wavefront OBJ file in your browser. OBJ is supported by virtually every 3D application — Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Unity, and more — making it the go-to format when you need to take a 3D-print model into a modelling or game engine.
STL stores only raw triangles — no colour, no texture, no material. OBJ carries all of that, which is why moving from STL to OBJ is the step you take when a print-ready mesh needs to become an editable, paintable asset. Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D and ZBrush open OBJ natively, where many treat STL as a second-class import.
Convert here when you have a model from a slicer or a download site and want to retexture it, render it, or hand it to a game or animation pipeline. The geometry comes across exactly; you simply gain a container that can hold the UV coordinates and material references STL was never designed to store.

Drop a STL file from your device, or paste a public URL pointing to the STL you want to convert.
The output is pre-set to OBJ. You can adjust quality or bitrate in the advanced options if you need a smaller file.
Click Convert. Our cloud workers fetch the STL, scan it for malware, and run the STL → OBJ pipeline.
A one-time pre-signed link appears as soon as the OBJ is ready. The file is automatically deleted from our storage 2 hours later.
