File to Link Converter

Turn a file into a link you can send. Upload a file — a video, a PDF, a ZIP — and you get a shareable URL back that opens it. Call it a file to URL converter or a file to link converter: same job. Free, no sign-up, and the file deletes itself after two hours by default.

Drag & drop a file hereor click to browse from your device

Anyone holding the link can open the file, so send it only to people you mean to.

Why use this

  • One file, one link

Video, PDF, ZIP, photo or spreadsheet — the file is stored as-is and you get a URL back that opens it.

  • Deleted after two hours

The link works for 2 hours (longer for results over 2 GB or with a Pro pass), then the file is permanently deleted. That is the point: it is for handing something over, not for hosting it.

  • Scanned, no account

Every upload up to 2 GB is virus-scanned before a link is issued, except a video or audio file over 1 GB, which is linked unscanned and says so; any other file over 2 GB cannot be linked. There is no sign-up and no email, and the file itself is deleted once its time is up (the job record keeps its name for a week).

  • Works on a phone

Upload from your phone and paste the link straight into WhatsApp, Discord or an email. No app to install on either end.

Two hours, and why it is not a limitation

Most file hosts want you to leave things there. This one does the opposite: by default the file is wiped two hours after you upload it, and there is no account that could remember it anyway. That is the whole design. A link you send someone at lunchtime does not need to still be live next year, and a file that no longer exists cannot leak.

It also means this is not the tool for a link in a CV, a product page or anything you expect to work tomorrow. For that you want real hosting. For getting one file to one person right now, two hours is more time than you need.

How to convert a file to a link

  1. Choose your file

Drag a file in, or tap to pick one from your phone or computer. We can’t check inside RAR, 7z or ISO files, so we can’t give a link for them. Put the files in a ZIP without a password.

  2. Wait for the upload

The file goes straight to storage and is virus-scanned (a video or audio file over 1 GB is not scanned but is still linked, marked as unscanned; any other file over 2 GB is refused). Big files take as long as your connection needs.

  3. Copy your link

You land on a page for that file. Its address is your link — hit Copy link and send it to anyone. It stops working after 2 hours by default.

Upload it above. LinksConverter stores the file and gives you a page whose address is your link — copy it and send it to anyone. No sign-up and no software to install.

Going the other way

If you already have a link and want the file behind it, that is the Link to File Converter. Paste a URL and it fetches whatever is there — a video, a document, an image — and hands it back as a file you can keep.
